11 Characteristics of Successful Startup Founders and Entrepreneurs
I am often asked about the secrets of startup success. The reality is that there is no secret to being a successful startup founder. It often comes in the form of a “perfect storm” that includes elements such as having the right thoughts at the right time; Relevant skills, abilities, and attitude; a Tireless work ethic, passion, and focus; For resources and team members that are critical to success.

During my entrepreneurial journey, involving two businesses, going through several startup accelerator programs (including Springboard) and including headquarters at the world’s premier startup incubator for tech entrepreneurs (Chicago, 1871),
I crossed paths with several startup founders have taken. Some of these entrepreneurs have made successful exits, others are running thriving businesses, while still others have pivoted (or returned to corporate America).
From my comments, as well as knowing what has been served to me, I believe the following 11 traits are key to launching and leading a successful startup:

1) Fearless – You know that when you do something risky, you feel in your stomach. Entrepreneurs embrace that feeling because they believe that profits outweigh risks. We do not believe that we are not afraid This means that despite our fears, we go ahead and take calculated risks.
2) Visionary – Successful entrepreneurs are creative thinkers with vision. They can see opportunities before others do them, and move on to pursue them. We look for what is in which corner, anticipate needs, and find solutions that serve others.
3) Sahaj – Entrepreneurs rely on their instincts to move forward with an idea. If we feel strongly that this is something the market needs, then there is a very high probability that we will trust our gut and run with it, no matter what the naysayers say. However…
4) Analytic – The best entrepreneurs do not rely only on gut instinct. We use data to prove that our tendency is correct. Market research, testing, sampling, surveys – some of the tools we use to gather information about the market and idea before we invest too much.
5) Self-confidence – The best entrepreneurs know themselves well – their strengths and weaknesses – and play to their strengths. Where there is weakness, they find others who increase and entrust tasks. Self-confidence helps to make thousands of decisions that affect the feasibility of the business side by side enables to lead their teams.
6) Empathetic – The best entrepreneurial leaders are empathetic and authentic, allowing room for others to approach, even if they are different on their own. They are great networks and promoters. Empathy allows them to listen to others, and by doing so they fill gaps in their knowledge and build relationships.

7) Passion – Many entrepreneurs are driven by pure dedication. Startup founders often start businesses in their areas of expertise or interest. We put our hearts into it, and this passion increases the immense energy that is required to run a business. When the founders pursue their obsession with purpose and intention, the chances are good that they will not succeed.
8) Adaptable – If there is one thing that is constant, it changes. The surprise is around every corner. Entrepreneurs expect the unexpected. This enables them to keep calm in the chaos. The ability to be flexible and adapt to a constantly changing market is key.
9) Flexible – Flexibility allows you to experience adversity and overcome it. Being able to step back from failures is one of the most important skills to be a successful entrepreneur. We all experience failure; This is often the best way to learn. What you do after failure makes all the difference.
10) Focused – The startup founders should be laser-focused on their business activity. There is a full-time job in the pursuit of excellence. This is the reason that to be hosted is extra challenging work for startups. We avoid deflection. Apart from our time and money, we shed our sweat, blood, and tears to make our startup a success.

11) Permanent – Even if you lack some of these qualities, it can touch the scales as long as you have perseverance. As you build a business, you will stumble. Successful entrepreneurs are determined, maneuver around obstacles, and create new avenues. They do not give up, and that is why they succeed.
